Yes,
it is news in deed! Hundreds of students
(Girls out number boys) attend SSM’s schools from 10-15 surrounding
villages. They spend more than eight
hours a day in the premises and it can be well understood, how much they suffer
without proper toilet facility.
SSM’s
seamless pursuit, the philanthropic gesture of Hero Moto Crop. Ltd. and
commendable social responsibility of Habitat for Humanity dawned a great day
for the pupils of the Shivaji Jr. Basic School, Sagroli, two other primary
schools at Hipparga and Kesarali, when the state of the Art Toilet Complex
constructed by spending 15 lakh rupees, were dedicated to them.
The
event was witnessed by Shri Nilesh Karkare, Habitat for Humanity and Mrs.
Manisha Saxena, Hero Moto Crop.
In
brief note on their social activities, Mrs. Manisha said, their organization
has so far donated for the Toilet Complexes at 500 schools in the rural
India. They had set for themselves a
target of 5 lakh toilets to be constructed by the end of 2020, out of which the
number has already crossed 1 lakh by July 2016.
SSM
has expressed deep sense of gratitude to both the organizations. The guests of honor planted trees in the
premises on the occasion.
